Top 50 for Women” – by Golf For Women Magazine (Number 25 in the US).

Holes 1 and 15 are featured in the book The 100 Greatest Holes along the Grand Strand, published by The Sun News

“One of my best!” is how noted course designer Dan Maples has often referred to Willbrook Plantation. Carved from the site of two Carolina Plantations, Willbrook offers a tranquil blend of golf and wildlife that has been featured on Nature Scene TV. New hybrid “Champion” Bermuda greens installed in late 2006 have made it even more stunning.

Located on the south end of the Grand Strand, and as part of the Waccamaw Golf Trail, Willbrook winds its way amid a centuries-old oak forest where nature abounds. It was recently featured on the award-winning television show “Nature Scene” for its peaceful coexistence of golfers and nature. The par-5 15th hole, demonstrates the many challenges of the wetlands, waterways and stately oaks used in this great design. Willbrook is known for not only the tactical play ability required, but also for the natural surroundings you’ll experience. This makes it a favorite of returning women golfers.

For the sixth year in a row, Golf for Women has listed Willbrook on their list of “America’s 50 Best Courses,” (this year at #25) and Golf Digest awarded it 4.5 STARS since 2006 in their “Places to Play.”
