Wild Wing Plantation offers all the discriminating golfer is looking for in a great day on the greens. We have two courses that are sure to make your golf experience memorable. The Avocet course, designed by Larry Nelson and Jeff Brauer, has been a Myrtle Beach must-play for nearly two decades. Recently renovated, the Hummingbird Nine is quickly becoming a must-play along the Grand Strand.
In addition to our great golf assets, Wild Wing Plantation offers a warm and inviting pub to enjoy a great meal and beverage before or after you hit the links. Our award-winning pro shop stocks anything you may need, as well as a few “must haves.” If you need to warm up before your game, or just want to hit a few balls, Wild Wing also has a great practice facility.
The Avocet Course at Wild Wing Plantation in Myrtle Beach is an 18-hole masterpiece designed by former PGA Tour golfer Larry Nelson and architect Jeff Bauer.
Adjoining the recently renovated, nine-hole Hummingbird course that gives golfers the option to sneak in another half-round, Avocet offers players of all handicaps a true test of golf in a beautiful setting.
Named the South Carolina Golf Course Owners Association’s “Golf Course of the Year” in 2002 and 2003, Avocet presents multi-level tees and greens, contoured fairways and some of the most cleverly conceived holes you’ll find anywhere.
From the par-4 No. 6 features a triple-tiered double green that is shared with the par-3 No. 17 to No. 9, considered the Avocet’s signature hole, that features a double fairway divided by a grass line and deep bunkers, the Avocet offers something for all skill levels.
